MCFC Premier League Champions 2012

This will be talked about for years! The day city (again) made thier fans age 25 years in 90 mins & look down out & dead in the water,only to pull it out at the last second-literally!
I expected united to beat sunderland.
I expected city to win,But qpr would fight.
I never EVER expected to hear QPR fans on 94 mins screaming come on city!

5 Weeks ago city "lost" the title after a defeat to Arsenal.United went 8 points clear & city were 200/1 to win thier 1st premiership title ever.
So to get to game 38 & have clawed back that 8 point gap united had built was nothing short of astonishing.

City & United (in fact all 10 prem games) were a synched kick off to deter betting & any foul play,plus it makes it exciting for the general punter.
Citys task-win
Win & win the same as united & the title was thiers (we had a GD of plus 8).

City attacked from the 1st minute only for qpr to park the bus.City had 100% posession  & rangers didnt even manage a shot on target.Just b4 half time Pablo Zabeletta worked a 1-2 with a clearly injured yaya & managed to clip the keeper ,the ball creeping over the line eventually.
Half Time City 1-QPR 0....United are winning 1-0 at sunderland

2nd half was more of the same city wave after wave but no room to make any link up play.A rare attack by qpr was snuffed out &  wayward clearance was hoofedd back in,lescott mis timed his jump & cisse was in.Shooting low & to joe harts left it was 1-1 .....
Joey barton then did his party piece,elbowing tevez in the mouth then after the red card he assaulted sergio ageuro & i hope he is arrested for it-the man is a smear & well leave it at that.


Things soon became unbearable when qpr went 2-1 up after a fluke diving header went in after a break on the left.The Etihad was in shock,Meanwhile the united fans started celebrating premiership number 20....On & on it went,city wave after wave again,but unable to make any ground.City made 2 subs bringing on Dzecko & balotelli.
Mario had a point blank header brilliantly saved by kenny.70,75,80,85 mins all clocked up,as did citys corners,22 in total.90 mins came & the ref added 5 mins for the Barton thing.
92 mins a co0rner from silva on the far side was swung in & dzecko powered the header home for 2-2.

THEN THINGS GOT WEIRD.
Up at sunderland United finished winning 1-0 & retained thier title.As that whistle blew city equalised with dzeckos goal.Still a draw was no use so UNITED MUST HAVE WON IT RIGHT?

94 mins & 2 amazing things happen.Joe hart throws the ball in from a throw.The QPR fans go nuts-they have just heard that bolton have drawn & they are safe.Premiership football is now a certainty for qpr.....AMAZINGLY the qpr fans start shouting for city,as they do,nigel de-jong powers over the half way line & slides a pass to aguero,he passes to mario on the 18 yard line,aguero goes for the one two,which mario completes,aguero nearing the 6 yard line skips over a lunge from anton ferdinand  & smashes the ball home in true roy of the rovers style.

Even better the sunderland fans then also went crazy & the united fans live on TV takin the piss suddenly had the smirks wiped from thier faces as the cold hard truth dawned-CITY HAVE TAKEN THIER TITLE,WITH THE LAST KICK OF THE GAME.Fergie tells the players to acknowledge the crowd & for a split second a look of helplessness & almost a smile of resignation flashed accross his face.City had done it...After 44 years of mercyless baiting from a club who owe thier VERY EXISTANCE TO CITY -was wiped out-wed won the title in the best way,taking it from united & making them suffer.As normal the united fans are not magnanimous in defeat-they are downright arrogant-who cares,weve made lots of new friends & hey-if we get new fans,so be it.We broke so many records this season that in itself was a record.we battered united at Old trafford.Tore them apart 6 goals to 1.Did the same away at norwich (that was a priveledge to watch live at carrow road).We hammered spurs at whl 5-1.We deserved to win that title.
Going through the commentaries for the game.It was clear that this was an extraordinary game & season.City & United had opened up a gargantuan 19 point lead on arsenal in 3rd place.City & united were celtic & rangers to arsenals hibs!

So finally city were champions & the trophy was handed to Vincent Kompany after a guard of honour from the boys of 68 & relatives of joe mercers family.
The last fans wandered from the Etihad at around 8pm sunday night.City spent a whole hour outside with thier adoring fans & a few qpr fans who stayed (we do understand that coaches & trains dont wait for anything & they HAD to leave to get home).
