WHAT A DAY! what a game & united didnt get the ref they wanted (everybody-awwwwww) The ref was for once someone with a backbone who wasnt scared of rabid rio & that was great.United started the better & in all honesty should have been 2 nil up inside 25 mins -berbatov spurning both chances.Citys midfield was bossed by the ecxcellent yaya toure who took over the carlos tevez run till you drop way of doing things & with the fantastic kompany in defensive midfield they soon had barry & silva makin good off the ball runs to lure the united midfield out of shape.0-0 at half time & the talk was of chico this hernandez that (what the heck is this blokes name fer cryin out loud???)City started much the stronger in the 2nd half,again pullin uniteds midfield all over the place-lescott played a ball down the left that was going nowhere-ferdinand passed back 2 vds whos spurned kick found david silva,who was tackled-the ball fell to carrick whos awful pass was pounced on by yaya-he powered past vidic (after both carrick & vidic tried to claw him back,trip him & pull his shirt)a half scuff nutmegged vds & the place went crazy!
The stadium was patently majority blue,the united fans were out sung-the poznan stated & the tv comms even said the stadium shook during the poznan for yayas goal!
Thenb came the pivotal moment-united obviously drove forward & paul scholes made an awful challenge on zab-he had a 4 inch gash on his outer thigh & rio ferdinand accused him of play acting on twitter -which is why he was forced by mufc to retract & apologise to tweeters everywhere (MYSELF INCLUDED :D)
City were ace in that last half hour-the ref found united 5 more mins(agony as it seemed to last for ever!)& the city fans sang thier hearts out-at the final whistle the stadium went totally insane
AS DID RIO FERDINAND! MR FERDINAND THERE IS SOMETHIN WRONG WITH YOU OL SON! You are not the ref & the FA-you do NOT tell ANYONE where they can go in a stadium! how dare you!The fact is that balotelli had 2 relatives in the top tier bang in the centre of the satdium-he was saying hello to them!!! AGAIN ITS NONE OF FERDINANDS BUSINESS-BUTT OUT!
At least ferguson shook mancinis hand in the tunnel -though the bettin is on him or rio for the damage caused to a dressing room wall in the away section (city were the home team)pix from bluemoon forum & the website pics page,thanks to all for documenting a momentous day-the day the tide turned in manchester citys favour-proud of the team-proud of the fans BLUE MOON :)
