Weve done it! At last the long wait is over.A traditional cup final in a modern age.I want to take a moment to applaud the stoke fans who made the place rock even better than the semi final.They didnt disrespect the trophy & the FA cup competition by skankin out of the stadium(like a certain team everyone hates),they saw thier boys collect thier medals & then applauded city as they went up the steps.YOUR A CREDIT TO YOUR TEAM !
Ok the game wasnt a classic,but miles better than the drivel of the endless man ure v chelsea robot finals of the last 967 years!!!City were the better team,They did thier homework & stopped the long ball game forcing stoke to play the wings.
One bizzare point was the jermaine pennant faked injury?! 3 times the guy was virtually a cripple,only to rematerialise seconds later .Whatever that was in aid of it didnt work.Tevez was great as was kompany,silva & the brilliant nigel dejong.Mario balotelli was given a start against(lets be honest) the press,the fans,the opposition! the radio & even the comms said he was a liability.In short the guy ended up with man of the match for a nigh on flawless display of coolness under pressure & he was so close to a goal in the first half.In the 2nd His neat back flick got silva in down the left,after balotelli had another go it fell to toure who battered it right down the throat of the goal........Cue the poznan!
The stoke fans were making an awesome noise too,one of the best atmospheres for a cup final since all standing terraces in the 60/70s.City wont display the cup at the prem game with stoke on the following tuesday-we are NOT man ure we dont take the mickey like that.Pics are of the fantastic day out we had at wembley & if man ure fans dont like it -then go read summat else you are NOT repeat NOT gonna spoil this for us!
