City 5 Norwich 1

City march on & even got two compliments from match of the day! Our 2 clubs have both had despair & joy in the last 15 or so years,both relegated twice to the 2nd tier of the league.Both fought back to be in the premiership.Both have charismatic,fanatical owners & chairmen.


City started cautiously ,but the games first goal was an absolute peach.After some great wing work on the right,the ball found its way to Aguero who,surrounded by 7 norwich players,managed to nutmeg 2 of them with a dainty toe poke= priceless! 1-0 at half time didnt do justice to the chances we had,aguero had 2 great chances & the commentator remarked "this is like attack v defence in training"Second half saw a strange goal straight in from a nasri free kick-keeper error  2 nil city.Norwich made 2 subs but they were all out of shape & yaya toure guided number 3 in with delicate precision for such a big man.Norwich to thier credit fought back & grabbed a goal from a corner when morison headed past harts right & it was 3-1.Enter mario Balotelli.Love or hate the guy hes a fascinating charactor & we all LOVE THE GUY! Adam johnson`s brilliant close control gave balotelli a chance that bounced off the keeper & onto the bar-so mario shouldered the ball home! 4-1 became 5-1 when the brilliant johnson calmy slid the ball past 2 defenders & the keeper to round off yet another fantastic home performance-we are now safe from relegation :) pics below of the game -next up chelsea & we drew man united in the FA cup 3rd round....all go again in manchester .

The second string team had no choice to play tonight.48 hours after the liverpool game both clubs were sent to play top teams in the carling cup.Not a classic but did remind me of about 400 man united games where they have played average then sneaked a last minute goal.
Sergio Aguero banged in goal number 12 of the season with 10 mins remaining after a great ball from Adam johnson,adelightful flick to the ever space aware aguero & he slotted the ball home to the keepers right.Agueros game is clever,he,like wayne rooney can see the game 2 or 3 passes ahead ,but has the calm temperament rooney lacks,he knows whats coming,hes a fantastic buy,along with nasri & silva have also been excellent purchases.That in a nutshell was mark hughes`s problem,he didnt buy wisely.He threw money on awful players like roque santa cruiz & wayne bridge,while ignoring obvious talent like vlad weiss who has been great everywhere hes patiently been loaned too.Mancini has been critical of Adam johnson recently & the new contract must make the lad more secure in the knowledge that HE is the future of Manchester City football club.he will be what kinkladze should have been-a WINNER!Mancini is training the lad so he doesnt burn out by 25-he will be an england regular for many years...... semi finals here we come-id love united in the final :)

MOTD 2 editing

I had to make a quick post cos motd 2 was a complete joke last night.They edited it 2 lawrenson & owen`s liking & cut the 18 times that suarez dived.Then tried 2 say he was fantastic!! He is NOT fantastic! Hes a tool.
What really made me die laughing was michael owen awkwardly shifting in his seat when token irish bloke mentioned city-OWEN IS UNDER CLEAR ORDERS NOT TO TALK ABOUT CITY FAVOURABLE LIGHT -that was priceless.The fact you arent allowed an opinion at robot united plc is just ridiculous.City have done in a dozen games what ONLY spurs have managed to achieve.We hammered spurs-on thier ground.We massacred united-on thier own ground.I dont know one person who looks at that derby & can city were not fantastic in that game.We are into the 2nd part of the season now that covers xmas/new year & 3rd round of The FA cup........Good Luck boys .

The game will be overshadowed by the death of welsh manager Gary speed.
Which is quite lucky for liverpool,i have never seen such an awful liverpool team in my life-by that i mean cheating,bullying & card solicitation(that the FA are supposed to be clamping down on).
The fact that the game stopped every 10 seconds because suarez fell over was annoying.Liverpool fear city & tried from the get go to get key players carded-this worked when Kompany & Barry were booked for nothing.
On 31 mins a corner at the Kop end saw Kompany climb high & glance the ball in half header half shoulder-they ALL count.Liverpool even had to have city score thier goal for them.2 mins later the disgusting charlie adam hit a shot that was hitting the corner flag till lescott unfortunately got in the way,it sent hart the wrong way & went in for 1-1.
Second half was more liverpool attacking.City brought on dzecko & mario & liverpool immediately set about getting mario sent off!! That may sound harsh & wrong but its true.I hate man united  but they can at least play the game ! They have the class to play out of trouble & not to cheat & bully refs into carding players .Mario was booked for touching johnson who fell over=obviously a card ?!?!?!
The second 18 mins later beggars belief -Skirtel went down claiming hed been elbowed & was virtually unconscious on the deck-Thats when at least 4 liverpool players should have been booked & charlie adam sent off for solicitation-Another(dont even wanna research thier names)assaulted mario while he was on the floor-again unpunished.The ref gave a free kick,no cards in sight till the liverpool players disgraceful behaviour got mario a 2nd yellow .This now means no premiership player can jump for a ball again  ,period! Meanwhile skirtel was absolutely fine within seconds of the card! Amazing!


I am astonished at the referee being bullied like that,he wasnt even going to card mario & ONLY the intervention of the liverpool players & the disgraceful adams behaviour scared him into this-this ref should go back to school games as he isnt fit to referee the best league in the world! 
Post game comments just make dalglish look like a fool.When you are so blind you cant see anymore its time to get glasses.If a player has a serious head injury then he should go to the hospital-the fact that mario didnt even touch the players head is clear to see & why wasnt the player sent for a scan if the injury was serious? Again the fact he was 100% instantly fine the instant the card was brandished is clearly cheating. The laughable bbc match of the day 2 just made matters worse .That irish idiot who fronts the show -who the hell is this moron?? hes a hospital radio dj! They wheeled out michael owen  for the show last night & the gary speed situation was hilighted & RIGHTLY SO.The fact is no one wants to do the sunday motd2 now as its a joke.Silly cartoons & very unfunny presenters on a footy show-less talky more footy !I admired the liverpool of the 70s........Now they are not even sporting & the late & very great Bill shankley would be disgusted at the behaviour of the great legacy he left behind 
RIP GARY SPEED & CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY-THE PRESS SHOULD NOW LEAVE THEM ALONE TO GRIEVE....................

Ok so we lost,napoli are unbeaten in europe since 1994-funny many forgot this until AFTER the game! I wont dwell on what ya already know ,Cavani on 17  & 49 mins with mario equalising the 1st on 33 minutes.
Many fans blamed mancini for being defensive but thats hardly the case,70 % posession puts that to bed & napolis goals were on the break..THEY SIMPLY DID WHAT WE DO TO TEAMS WEEK IN WEEK OUT! Hit them hard on the counter.If the qualify then napoli deserve thier place & good luck to them.We MUST beat bayern & hope that villareal do us a favor & take points from napoli in the final round of games.Either way we will be in the europa draw come new year so its not all doom & gloom-remember we are top of the prem with 4 games comin up that could define our season.Few years back the likeleyhood of points v liverpool/chelsea /norwich & arsenal would have been pts v norwich & hopefully squeeze a score draw form 1 of the other 3.NOW its different,i fully expect to beat chelsea.Arsenal are the form team at the moment,but we are pretty handy ourselves! Norwich i would expect 3 points(no diss intended i like norwich)liverpool i think is a score draw.At least we only need 6 pts to avoid relegation!!! keep the faith fellow blues

So the big day is here,We are off to napoli on our quest for a place in the draw for the knockout stages of the champions league.

So its off to Naples for the champions league cruncher with napoli,win & were going into the draw,lose & we will have to beat Bayern & maybe even rely on other results.

Liverpool next sunday is a massive part of 4 crucial premiership games that could see us top-or down to 3rd or even 4th place(absolute worst case scenario losing all 3 "big games"-no disrespect to the Norwich boys intended .Liverpool,Arsenal,Norwich,Bayern & chelsea plus arsenal in the league cup sandwiched inbetween is a hectic test running into the xmas /new year program.Have to be honest chelsea are not the team they have been for the last 7 or so seasons.Arsenal are the form team.You cant ignore united ,as much as youd like to-they are playing dire footy to watch but gathering points.

I decided to start the blog again,seventy nine different reasons,main one bein the cack that some bloggers write is seriously deluded.Im not intelligent so i use humour to cover this up,but these guys arent even funny,its dull!

Anyhoo -City top of the premiership after the 2 week agony of poxy internationals that 90 % of league teams arent even bloomin well involved in so EVERYONE has to mess up thier lives so capello can learn what he already knows-HE SHOULD DROP ROONEY-TAKE RICHARDS & THEN RESIGN ! get arry in b4 nex years euros =we have a chance.
So unbeaten newcastle united come to the etihad (not eatlands as one person called it on radio 5 dead.)
These games often have several goals down the years & while this wasnt the sizzle of the man united game it was a polished,cleanly excecuted job-the sort that if united win they are sexed up on the back pages till wednesday!
Im not a big man,i dont admit when im wrong-i always said balotelli was a fabulous buy :P....Yaya toures many visits to the newcastle box bore fruit after a clear handball.The penalty taken by mario was again the ol run up & stagger with a clinical simple pass of the ball into the right hand corner,no t shirt today just the folded arms & stare.good enough for the monday morning pullouts.
Half time city went in 2 nil up after sergio passed to richards,who punished the defenders dithering with a great dink- though dembe ba was denied by a great save from hart down to his left to push the ball for a corner.Second half newcastle pushed up to try & stop citys dominance of midfield.This you do at your peril,as the lightning pace the team has to get round the back of any pushed up line.The 3rd goal was coming & david silvas appearance after an exhaustive pointless journey to costa rica,brought richards into a one two that resulted in richards on the deck=penalty.Aguero stepped up as mario had been subbed for silva.Newcastle grabbed an annoying consolation -our only down side at the moment these odd goals after dominating & decimating (in uniteds case)in most of our games.Great piccy of nigel de-jong with Ben arfa,holds no malice,a true pro......

A good test of our away game at warnocks rangers on bonfire night.Hes assembled a good squad there & it showed on taking the lead after 28 mins with boothroyd heading in.City in the unusual position of being behind in a game ! 15 mins later dzecko did it again.This man amazes me.He looks like a stick insect,yet hes as strong as an ox,he seems to scuff a 20 yarder & it goes in,with rampant precision(sorry roger waters please dont sueue me for copyright)1-1 at half time.7 mins into the 2nd half the brilliant david silva did it again slotting past the keeper after more wizzardry from argueably the best player in the prem right now.Back came rangers to do what many havent-score 2 goals past joe hart! 2-2 on 70 mins helguson equalising what was looking like a well earnt point.
Alan Hansen bleats every week how guuud manchester unayted are at playin crap & gettin points-yet he praises thier game & slags citys off.Only non borin game ive seen at united this term was the derby!
Yaya Toure hopefully made hansen delete his post match write up on 74 mins with a crackin header to finish it & 3 pts for city.Well done QPR makin a great game of it,great support for both teams too & trravelling fans were complimentary of thier hosts,again warnock is doing a great job.If he can keep them up this season london will have yet another regular premiership slot .

This is one of those games that you get in a lifetime ,if you are lucky!
City showed yesterday that they were a team as they demolished the theatre of dreams into a garden shed nitemare.United will say that the fact evans got himself sent off,was paramount in citys huge win....I dont believe this at all,HE Broke fergusons credo of dont bring anyone down outside the box,let them go,the keeper has a chance,worst case scenario you have 11 men & a goal down.City were rampart after taking a 1st half lead with mario balotelli passing the ball past de gea & showing us his new shirt. "Why always me?"
The game was just at 0-1 when evans stupidly brought down balotelli outside the box,as last man he was given a harsh straight red.Evans must be the worlds best player as united capitulated totally after that,a 5 goal 2nd half started by balotelli-finished by balotelli after a ball in from the right accross the 6 yard box & a tap in for the man from milan.Ageuro took advantage of sloppy defending as did lesscott to give dzecko a "knee in"from lescotts short pass-AGAIN accross the 6 yard line.
Darren Fletcher grabbed a crackin goal back for united but even thier demeanour said they knew they were beaten..... 3-1 after fletchers goal......
Silva,easy the best player in the prem,nutmegged the keeper to make it a hammering,dzeco however wasnt finished & wanted more, 3 mins into fergie time it was 1-6.Citys midfield were awesome,like a sky blue plague invading the united defence mercyless in thier execution.The maine rd massacre of 2 decades ago waslong held onto with 2 or 3 memorable wins in thos awful years we dont like 2 think about.When united were playing thier champions league semi final in 1999 we were gettin ready for a play off v wigan in div 2......How far we have come & to beat united -at the place where they are unbeatable sends a message,we are back! with flair & were damn good to watch !!!!

City win the FA Cup !

Weve done it! At last the long wait is over.A traditional cup final in a modern age.I want to take a moment to applaud the stoke fans who made the place rock even better than the semi final.They didnt disrespect the trophy & the FA cup competition by skankin out of the stadium(like a certain team everyone hates),they saw thier boys collect thier medals & then applauded city as they went up the steps.YOUR A CREDIT TO YOUR TEAM !
Ok the game wasnt a classic,but miles better than the drivel of the endless man ure v chelsea robot finals of the last 967 years!!!City were the better team,They did thier homework & stopped the long ball game forcing stoke to play the wings.

One bizzare point was the jermaine pennant faked injury?! 3 times the guy was virtually a cripple,only to rematerialise seconds later .Whatever that was in aid of it didnt work.Tevez was great as was kompany,silva & the brilliant nigel dejong.Mario balotelli was given a start against(lets be honest) the press,the fans,the opposition! the radio & even the comms said he was a liability.In short the guy ended up with man of the match for a nigh on flawless display of coolness under pressure & he was so close to a goal in the first half.In the 2nd His neat back flick got silva in down the left,after balotelli had another go it fell to toure who battered it right down the throat of the goal........Cue the poznan!
The stoke fans were making an awesome noise too,one of the best atmospheres for a cup final since all standing terraces in the 60/70s.City wont display the cup at the prem game with stoke on the following tuesday-we are NOT man ure we dont take the mickey like that.Pics are of the fantastic day out we had at wembley & if man ure fans dont like it -then go read summat else you are NOT repeat NOT gonna spoil this for us!

WHAT A DAY! what a game & united didnt get the ref they wanted (everybody-awwwwww) The ref was for once someone with a backbone who wasnt scared of rabid rio & that was great.United started the better & in all honesty should have been 2 nil up inside 25 mins -berbatov spurning both chances.Citys midfield was bossed by the ecxcellent yaya toure who took over the carlos tevez run till you drop way of doing things & with the fantastic kompany in defensive midfield they soon had barry & silva makin good off the ball runs to lure the united midfield out of shape.0-0 at half time & the talk was of chico this hernandez that (what the heck is this blokes name fer cryin out loud???)City started much the stronger in the 2nd half,again pullin uniteds midfield all over the place-lescott played a ball down the left that was going nowhere-ferdinand passed back 2 vds whos spurned kick found david silva,who was tackled-the ball fell to carrick whos awful pass was pounced on by yaya-he powered past vidic (after both carrick & vidic tried to claw him back,trip him & pull his shirt)a half scuff nutmegged vds & the place went crazy!
The stadium was patently majority blue,the united fans were out sung-the poznan stated & the tv comms even said the stadium shook during the poznan for yayas goal!
Thenb came the pivotal moment-united obviously drove forward & paul scholes made an awful challenge on zab-he had a 4 inch gash on his outer thigh & rio ferdinand accused him of play acting on twitter -which is why he was forced by mufc to retract & apologise to tweeters everywhere (MYSELF INCLUDED :D)
City were ace in that last half hour-the ref found united 5 more mins(agony as it seemed to last for ever!)& the city fans sang thier hearts out-at the final whistle the stadium went totally insane
AS DID RIO FERDINAND! MR FERDINAND THERE IS SOMETHIN WRONG WITH YOU OL SON! You are not the ref & the FA-you do NOT tell ANYONE where they can go in a stadium! how dare you!The fact is that balotelli had 2 relatives in the top tier bang in the centre of the satdium-he was saying hello to them!!! AGAIN ITS NONE OF FERDINANDS BUSINESS-BUTT OUT!
At least ferguson shook mancinis hand in the tunnel -though the bettin is on him or rio for the damage caused to a dressing room wall in the away section (city were the home team)pix from bluemoon forum & the website pics page,thanks to all for documenting a momentous day-the day the tide turned in manchester citys favour-proud of the team-proud of the fans BLUE MOON :)

Tevez out for 3-4 weeks....possibley for good?

This morning RM revealed the news we all knew was fact but had put off for 3 days.Carlos tevez is out for 3-4 weeks with a hamstring injury-in other words the rest of the season & if the press hounds are right-liverpools defeat of city was carlos tevez`s last game for city.

Milan,Spain & the south american leagues all offer rich bounties for a player sought by many-even ferguson is only 20/1 to re sign him.
Tevez held the club to ransom in january & this injury is the worst timing ever-he will be seen (if he leaves) in a bad light by many,when he should dig in & see the contract out .He wants champions league football....he has to earn it-not transfer TO it!
We wont be making threats against tevez`s family home like the man ure fans did with rooney.The fact that united went 2 so much trouble 2 get the story away from those thugs,shows how scared they were of losing him.City have to get rid of mancini in my opinion,we have adebyor+bellamy both on long term loans+both playing fantastic football.We sold robinhio,ireland,but the only ones of class coming in are Adam johnson & david silva.Balotelli is a liability & cost us the europa cup run,When we were more than capable of overturning the 2 goals,with 11 men.
The press can ruin a players career in england-or make things spo bad that a player simply has to leave-like david beckham.The press stirred that so badly he had no choice but to leave,for what was a massive anti climax to what should have been a glittering 15 plus years at united.
What is concerning city fans is we now go into the biggest game ever-with man united in the semi final at wembley.Both have top players out,obnly city have no real replacements whereas united can boast 3 top strikers & 2 more on the bench-dzecko & balotelli will not win this semi final for city.You have no idea how hard it was to write those words,on this sacred city blog.............

A great game at eastlands today,AJ making his comeback & 50th city appearance,opened the scoring on 9 mins after a good link up with yaya toure.
On 15 mins a penalty after bardsley clumsily barged tevez over.tevez just put the pen in to the keepers right,though the keeper did get a hand to it.
2nd half started as the 1st ended & on 62 mins a brilliant run from tevez,the ball to balotelli whos shot was blocked+a cheeky dink from david silva,one of the players of this season.66 mins vierra comes on,a corner is huffed back 2 kolarov whos driven ball is met by vierra,the keepr got down 2 it brilliantly & should be credited,the ball was over the line+well spotted linesman.Yaya wrapped it up on 73 mins after a blunder by the sunderland defence,tezez cleverly blocked the keeper off & yaya did what his does best,a burst of speed+precision finish.-a great game to go into the next 2 biggies-liverpool & man united in tha FA cup semi final.
NB -saw a new one for the future today-a blonde lad called mgivern,wasnt overcome by the situation,did well......

The semi final will be on saturday 16th April 2011
The reason is that arsenal have a big game on sunday & the london marathon on sunday (which the man u fans will be home in plenty of time for :)......
United are favourites-suits me ,pressures on them,not us.United wont win the chumps league,The law of averages says chelsea deserve a pop & we all hope that they have a gruelling long game -As city arent in europe ,they now have that advantage of not playing on the thursday.So uniteds insistance that it must be played on saturday has backfired somewhat.The good news is that its on itv :)while bolton & stoke get Espn .If you are lucky enough to have a ticket,enjoy the game of the century!!

FA Cup semi final derby

This has to be the biggest game in the FA cup EVER! I was lucky to be allowed to watch match of the day when ronnie radford scored v newcastle,i sat at home in astonishment as mighty liverpool lost in the final to wimbledon,the 1981 ricky villa final.There have been some huge cup games,but city v the rags,at wembley will,im sure,overshadow the eventual final whoever gets there & wins.
Personally for entertainment its man city v bolton that gives the best final,has goals all over it .....Tickets on sale 26 march 32 k each team which is daft,thats actually less than the swamp holds!?!?! Im sure the corps tickets will find thier way 2 london & the man ure fans.
The poznan is to be done en masse when the united team is read out over the system at wembley.Plus the usual updated songs,my fave at the mo is.....

Ok -yes i hate united,but im sick & tired in chat on games,when people call city "glory hunters" you then ask these people about thier own club & they are bloody clueless!
